Soft underfoot, the understated design of the Rhodes is ideal for laid-back living spaces. Handwoven in mottled teak and almond tones, the low-profile design is finished with a casual, hand-knotted fringe. The durable nature of this rug makes it suitable for outdoors, high-traffic areas or under dining tables.

This floor rug is crafted using soft, recycled PET yarn, a resilient fibre made from recycled plastic bottles. 759 plastic bottles were saved from landfill to create this piece.

Due to the absorbent nature of PET yarn, we recommend the rug is used undercover, stored during wet weather, and the use of an underlay for this rug, to reduce underfoot slipping. Please contact us to enquire about or purchase an underlay.

Buying online is easy. We have samples of most of our rugs and can send a square sample of this rug directly to your home, so you can see it in the very space you intend for it to go. It's the easiest way to shop for rugs, no matter where you are in New Zealand.

Care Instructions

Outdoor floor rugs can be cleaned by washing with your garden hose, or with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Hang outside to dry. You can also shake your floor rug outside to remove dust and dirt.

If using inside, gentle vacuuming or shaking outside is recommended to prevent dust and crumbs from settling to the roots of the fibres. Avoid using a turbo or brush head when vacuuming as this will create matting.

Spot clean spills immediately by gentle dabbing at the mark. Use warm, soapy water to clean water-based stains. Oil-based spills should be cleaned immediately with textile cleaning solution. Do not dry clean.

To ensure product longevity we recommend bringing the floor rug indoors when not in use.

Leaving your floor rug in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time may result in colour deterioration.
